1.01 DESCRIPTION OF WORK Work under this section includes the furnishing of standby generator systems. Wiring and conduit, etc. are part of this project specification and are included in this specification section. PART 2 – PRODUCTS 2.01 GENERAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Briarcrest Pumping Station Power: 45 kW, 75 kVA, 277/480 volts, 0.8 power factor, three-phase, 4-wire, 60 Hertz. Transfer Switch: 277/480-volt, 200 Ampere. Provide any required larger unit/system at no added cost to OWNER to comply with above. Sizing noted in 2.02 is not to be utilized without manufacturer’s verification indicating the estimated minimum rating that will be adequate. If vendor’s sizing calculation permits a unit with a rating lower than noted in 2.02, such unit may be proposed, but must be submitted as an alternate amount, with the indicated rating unit also being quoted as a Base Proposal amount. System Components: Provide and install the entire system furnished by generator manufacturer. 1) Propane fueled engine driven generator. 2) Engine start/stop controls. 3) Mounted accessories as specified or required. 4) Properly sized black plastic nameplates with engraved white letters identify all relays, components, etc. 5) The system shall include a 200 Ampere automatic transfer switch. Performance Certification: Provide certification of the following by an independent testing laboratory: 1) Full power rating 2) Stability 3) Voltage and frequency regulation 4) All other certifications per NFPA 110 Level 2.
