Preventive maintenance should include, but is not limited to, the following specific tasks: 1.5.1 Check and replace, as needed, all hoses and belts. Adjust belt tension. 1.5.2 As appropriate, oil and lubricate motors, bearings, pillow blocks, carrier chains, chain drives, gears, etc. Make proper adjustments as needed. 1.5.3 Check gear box oil levels and motor seals for leakage. 1.5.4 Check motors for abnormal noise. 1.5.5 Check motor brushes and/or starting devices. 1.5.6 Check and clean float switches. 1.5.7 Check solenoid valves and remove foreign matter between seat and disc. 1.5.8 Check for loose electrical connections. 1.5.9 Check all thermostats and recalibrate if necessary. 1.5.10 Check drains and overflows for leaks. 1.5.11 Check and remove any pump obstructions. 1.5.12 Clean line strainers. 1.5.13 Sharpen blades. 1.5.14 Check vacuum breakers. 1.5.15 Clean condensing unit and evaporator coils on systems so equipped, add refrigerant if necessary, and verify units are cooling properly. 1.5.16 Clean and sanitize all ice makers, replace water filters per filter manufacturer’s recommended frequency, and clean air filter. 1.5.17 Clean and confirm drain lines are open and draining freely...
