Trap cone should be constructed of aluminum and skinned with Stainless Steel perforated plate with 1/8” to 3/16” holes diameter. The cone “skin” will include two “clean out” doors which allow access to the interior of the cone from the sides. Trap center shaft should be 3” diameter solid aluminum round stock and should be a single piece that extend the entire length of the trap. The shaft should extend a minimum of one foot past both the front of the cone and the collar on the rear of the cone for mounting purposes. The internal screw fights (blades), 4 total, two full length that extend from the front of the cone to the back and two partial blades at the front of the cone to facilitate smooth rotation of the trap. Front portion of flights (approx. 4’) painted black to reduce visibility and fish avoidance. The trap cone and live box assembly should be suspended by two hoops between double stacked pontoons, 27’ length X 24” width, with a hand operated winch/hoist system to raise/lower the cone and live box assembly and a rotating drum screen to remove debris from the live box (powered by rotation of the cone).
