A. This section includes the furnishing and installing of all pressure piping 4-inches in diameter and larger and appurtenances as shown on the drawings or as required to complete the work. B. Furnish and install all pipe, fittings, specials, bends, beveled pipe, adapters, bulkheads, stoppers, plugs, joint restraints, joints and jointing materials, and pipe supports. C. Furnish and install pipe anchorage and thrust restraint systems as specified or as shown on the drawings, including but not limited to concrete for blocking and encasement of pipelines. D. Make connections to all existing and/or new facilities and provide temporary services as required. E. Install temporary plugs and/or stoppers and harnessing. F. Install valves, valve boxes, fire hydrants and appurtenances as shown or specified. G. Test and clean pipelines and appurtenances. H. Trench Excavation and Backfill Includes: a. Work of making all necessary trench excavations for the construction of all contract work. b. Furnishing, placing and use of sheeting, shoring and sheet piling necessary in excavating for and protecting the work and workmen. c. Performing all pumping and fluming necessary to keep the trenches free from water. d. Providing for uninterrupted flow of existing rivers, treatment plant processes, drains and sewers and the temporary disposal of water from other sources during the progress of the work. e. Damming and coffer damming where necessary. To be the Contractor’s design. f. Supporting and protecting all structures, pipes, conduits, culverts, posts, poles, wires, fences and buildings, roadway surfaces, curbs, railroad tracks, etc., as well as other public and private property adjacent to the work. g. Removing and replacing existing sewers, culverts, pipelines and bulkheads where necessary. h. Removing after completion of the work all sheeting and shoring not necessary to support the sides of excavations. i. Removing all surplus excavated material. j. Performing all backfilling, rough grading and compaction to the limits specified or ordered by the Owner. k. Restoring all property damaged as a result of the work included under this section.
