In general, work includes interior and exterior window washing and related services at multiple City facilities located throughout the City using a predetermined schedule. It is the City’s intent to award a five-year Contract as a result of this solicitation. 2.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES: PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS 2.1 Primary Contractor and subcontractor(s) (if applicable) must have at least three (3) years’ professional experience providing window washing services. 2.2 Contractor shall coordinate window washing services with City staff or others in order to minimize disruptions to operations at facilities. (See Item 2.10 for further scheduling details) Contractor shall provide advance notice to locations scheduled for cleaning. The City will not compensate the contractor for scheduling errors. 2.3 City staff will make an effort to prepare their space for cleaning. If items remain that would impede cleaning, Contractor will clear the area, clean the glass, and replace items to the best of their ability. 2.4 Contractor will be required to provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to complete all of the work described herein. 2.5 Contractor will be responsible for the supply, placement, and maintenance of all protective devices, cones, or signs which may be necessary for the warning and protection of motor vehicle or pedestrian traffic as a result of the execution of this Contract. 2.6 Contractor will be responsible for the protection of all shelving, books, equipment, interior wall surfaces, floor coverings, and furniture. Any repairs, damages, or necessary replacement due to the Contractor’s work will be remunerated at the Contractor’s expense. 2.7 Contractor will be responsible for the protection of roofs, building surfaces, equipment and gardening /planting areas. Any repairs, labor, or cleanup materials required as a result of the Contractor’s work will be done at the Contractor’s expense. 2.8 Windows shall be clean--meaning free of dirt, grime, streaks, drips, smudges, and shall not be cloudy. All window sills and mullions will be wiped clean and dry. 2.9 The Contractor is required to accomplish window washing work consistent with safety requirements promulgated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Adequate fall protection for window washers is required to be provided by the Contractor.
