Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Ramboll Americas Engineering Solutions, Inc. (Ramboll) in the amount of $7,300.00, to conduct electromagnetic radiation field strength monitoring at Fire Station 2 for the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Department. Ramboll will conduct testing at the Fire Station for hazardous levels of electromagnetic radiation, including sub-radiofrequency and radiofrequency/microwave radiation, due to nearby communication and power sources, and provide a comprehensive report detailing the findings, which will guide the necessary actions to mitigate or eliminate any identified hazards. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(30) of the County’s Procurement Policy as Ramboll has specialized qualifications, knowledge, and expertise in the assessment and monitoring of electromagnetic field strengths required to perform this crucial evaluation.
