Provide services indicated and do all the things necessary for or incidental to the performance of work as set forth below: 12.1) The auditor shall ensure that the auditor contact information, together with a statement of confidentiality, is provided to the facility four weeks prior to the on-site visit; 12.2) The auditor shall forward the PREA audit questionnaire to the DJJ Facility Superintendent or Designee and the DJJ PREA Compliance Officer no less than 8 weeks prior to the scheduled on-site visit using the PREA Online Audit System (OAS); 12.3) The auditor shall review responses to the PREA audit questionnaire and conduct follow-up calls with the Facility Superintendent or Designee and the DJJ PREA Compliance Officer to explain the audit process and address any concerns; 12.4) The auditor shall provide the DJJ Facility Superintendent or Designee and the DJJ PREA Compliance Officer with a tentative schedule of activities during any onsite visits at least seven days prior to the arrival at the facility; and 12.5) The auditor shall have the responsibility and authority to independently observe, assess, review, and report on the DJJ Facility’s implementation and compliance with the PREA Juvenile Standards; 13) In order to accurately assess compliance at the facility, the auditor shall: 13.1) Conduct an on-site inspection. 13.2) Observe programs and activities; 13.3) Interview pertinent administrators, professional staff, correctional staff, and contractor. 13.4) Individually interview a sampling of facility residents; and 13.5) Conduct detailed reviews of resident’s records, facility policies, facility records, and other pertinent information...
