Providence City is currently primarily interested in requesting comprehensive municipal engineering services, including the items identified below: 1. Conduct engineering review and approval of commercial and residential project plans and construction drawings (ensures compliance and codes and standards) 2. Provide consultation to the City Council, Planning Commission and Staff as required 3. Design and prepare plans and contract documents for streets, water, sewer, stormwater runoff, storm drainage, detention, parks, and other capital improvement projects for the City 4. Serves as Project Engineer for capital improvements projects; design and prepare plans and contractor documents for: a. Culinary water systems, including waterlines, storage, pump stations, treatment, etc. b. Sanitary sewer systems, including lift stations, treatment, etc. c. Storm drainage systems d. Public streets and highways e. Park development f. Subdivision and site development g. Storm water runoff/detention and LID, knowledge of State stormwater permits 5. Serve as liaison with Federal, State, County, and local jurisdictions when instructed 6. Prepare grants and other types of funding applications. Manage grant funds and prepare reports when instructed 7. Prepare and update long range planning and engineering documents including the general plan, master plans, reports, projections, and evaluations as needed 8. Provide consultation on zoning codes and ordinances 9. Provide GIS assistance 10. Provides miscellaneous survey, design, and drafting services to other departments as needed 11. Attend development review meetings on behalf of the City 12. Ensure all projects conform to the City Code of Ordinances and applicable State and Federal regulations, it is expected that the assigned engineer would have knowledge of approval procedure of various agencies such as: UDOT, Utah Dept of Natural Resources, Army Corp, FEMA, EPA, FHWA, and others
