Electronic Waste Recycling and Disposal Services. The Office of Management and Budget will administer this contract, and the contract will be made available to other governmental entities upon signing of a Participating Addendum. The goal of this RFP is to establish an E-waste Recycling and Disposal program that enables state and local government entities to dispose of electronic equipment that has reached the end of its useful life, in a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible way. “Electronic Waste” (E-waste) is defined as surplus, obsolete or non-working electronic equipment, including, but not limited to: Audio/Visual Equip; Connectors/Cords/Wire; Motherboards; Sound Cards; Bar Coding Equip; DVR/VCR; Network Cards; Tablets; Cable TV Boxes; Fax Machines; Oscilloscopes; Tape Drives; Calculators; Gaming Devices; PDAs; Telescopes; Cameras; Hard/Floppy Drives; Plotters/Copiers; Televisions; CD ROM Drives; Laptops; Power Supplies; Test Equip; CD ROM Drives; Mainframes/Servers Memory; Printers; UPSs; Cell Phones; Microfiche Readers; Scanners; Video Cards; Circuit Boards; Microscopes; Scrap Computer Metal; Communication Systems; Modems; Scrap Computer Plastic; Computer Equipment; Monitors; Scrap Copper; Any equipment containing a hard drive or that has the potential to store data. APPLICABLE DIRECTIVES This project is subject to the following: Contractor is prohibited from reselling any e-waste containing a hard drive or memory capability. If the hard drive/memory cannot be removed from the e-waste item, the item must be destroyed. The contractor is responsible for identifying and complying with all state and federal requirements that apply to the contract.
