The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, is accepting bids for a project described in the scope of work on behalf of the Utilities Department. The bidder shall provide and install a 7.5-ton RTU HVAC Unit at the Ouachita Water Plant. The HVAC unit shall provide heating and air conditioning to the administration office, operations office, laboratory, restroom, and two (2) filter rooms. The following specifications describe the minimum requirements for this project. Install 7.5 ton RTU HVAC unit and duct according to manufacturer’s specifications. Cut holes in the roof for the RTU frame and install the frame for the RTU. Roof penetrations for the frame and duct shall be flashed and appropriately sealed to prevent water leakage. Install the duct on the roof and cut in roof penetrations for the duct. Duct and ceiling registers are to be attached to open ceiling space. Cut holes in cinder block walls for installation of Duct into other rooms. Run electrical wiring outside of the building to provide power to the RTU. Install central thermostat for the RTU. Properly install drains on the RTU to prevent damage to the roof and building. Test the system to verify proper operation. The contactor shall uninstall, remove, and dispose of six (6) mini split units. Removal of existing units and installation of the new unit shall be completed without City Employee assistance. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits required for installation. The contractor shall maintain a tidy work area, leaving all areas accessible by City personnel. Any excess material must be removed at job completion.
