A. Clark Public Utilities (hereafter referred to as CPU or the Utility) is requesting one outdoor, shelter aisle enclosure, housing a 15 kV Type 2B arc-rated metalclad switchgear lineup. The source will be a top connected transformer. The enclosure will have a walk-in aisle per the attached switchgear plan view drawing. The enclosure will contain one AC panelboard, one battery bank, one DC panelboard along with other ancillary items detailed in specification 16241 and those necessary for switchgear construction. B. Enclosure materials shall comply with the technical specifications. Additionally, the walls indicated in the attached drawing shall be constructed with materials which provide a 2-hour fire rating. Also, a second set of overhead 1200A bushings will be installed to provide access for the use of a mobile transformer, if necessary. C. Metalclad switchgear will consist of one 2,000 A main breaker, four 1,200 A feeder breakers, five 1,200 A transfer bus switches, six 7,200/120 V PT’s, one 37.5 KVA single phase 7,200-120/240 V CPT, and protective relays and controls. The switchgear will be designed for 5 feeder breakers, however one bay will not contain a breaker at this time.
