1. SCOPE OF AGREEMENT 1.1 The City of Lincoln, Lancaster County, and the Lincoln-Lancaster Public Building Commission (hereafter referred to as “Owners”) is requesting bids from Contractors to assist in snow and ice removal services for their facilities. 1.2 Contractor shall furnish equipment, materials, and operators for removal of snow and Ice from the areas listed on SNOW Appendix during the winter season beginning on or about November 15th and ending on or about May 1st. 1.2.1 Services may be required outside of these dates and Contractor agrees to provide services as needed. 1.3 The Owners intend to enter a contract for a one (1) year term with option to renew for up to three (3) additional one (1) year terms. 1.3.1 Bid prices shall remain firm during the initial contract year. 1.4 Contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsible, responsive Vendor whose bid substantially meets all of the required specifications, duties, terms, and conditions as defined in this request. 1.5 Contracts may be awarded to more than one company. 1.6 Vendor shall maintain safety and protect the general public, employees against injury and damage during all portions of the project. 1.6.1 Any damage done which is not part of this construction will be immediately repaired by the Vendor at no charge to the Owners. 1.6.2 Vendor shall not store construction products, tools, or supplies in an area other than what is designated as a staging area. 1.7 The Owners will execute a firm-fixed contract for the work to be performed under the terms of an awarded contract. 1.7.1 The Owners reserve the right to allow adjustments to the contract should there be a substantial change in the nature of the work involved. 1.7.1.1 Such adjustments must be made in the form of a written contract amendment signed by both the Vendor and the Owners at the time of the change
