installation of one (1) new cooling tower on the school building roof at Walnut Hill Elementary School located at 4355 Charles Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The work shall include installation of the new cooling tower, including new piping from the outside to the pumps located within the mechanical room inside the school building. The work also requires a new steel support structure, structural modifications, and roof patching. In addition to the cooling tower (condenser water) pumps located in the basement mechanical room, a new plate and frame heat exchanger will be added to keep the heat pump loop decoupled from the cooling tower loop. A sump tank with volume adequate to drain the cooling tower system will be included for freeze protection when the tower is not in use. A side stream filtration unit will be included to reduce debris in the condenser water. New Variable Frequency Drive shall be included to control the condenser pump and cooling tower fan. Ancillary Project additions will include but not limited to, floor drain, drainage piping from cooling tower, and other additions as is more fully set forth in the Project Drawings and Specifications. A new 480/277V panel will serve the new mechanical equipment, and the panel will be fed from the existing main switchboard.
