1. It is the intent of the County of Lexington to award a multi-year county-wide contract for Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gas Services. The initial contract will cover locations as itemized on the attached Bidders Schedule. The County reserves the right to add or delete facilities as required. The estimated usage countywide is approximately 75,000 gallons per year. 2. Tank Set-up/Installation: Contractor shall be required to supply and install all tanks so as to allow for immediate use. County owned tanks will require services only. All tanks shall be kept neat and clean in appearance. 3. System Maintenance: It is the responsibility of the contractor to keep all equipment service-ready. Services shall include, but are not limited to, inspecting, testing, repairing, and any required preventive maintenance. 4. Service Records: Contractor shall be responsible for keeping accurate service records for each location. Service records shall include, but are not limited to tank owner, tank size, year-to-date usage, tank repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance. These records shall be made available to the County upon request. 5 Service Requests: Contractor shall provide services on an as needed basis. Service shall be performed between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All service requests shall be completed within a 24 hour period. The county reserves the right to deliver to the contractor for servicing, or have contractor pick-up for servicing, all 30 lb. propane cylinders used on the warehouse forklift. 6. Site Assessment: Contractor is responsible to become familiar with site conditions, including access and risk assessments. The failure or omission of a bidder to acquaint himself with existing conditions shall in no way relieve him of any obligation with respect to this solicitation or to the contract.
