This project demolishes Chiller CH-03A, Cooling Towers CT-01 through CT-04, condenser water pumps, electrical motor control centers, and abandoned HTHW piping. Chiller CH-05, a 2,800-ton electric centrifugal chiller will be installed in the location of Chiller CH-03A. Field erected counterflow Cooling Towers CT-01 through CT-04 will be installed in the existing concrete cooling tower basin. Condenser Water Pumps CSP-01 through CSP-04 will be installed in the basement. Condenser water supply lines from Cooling Towers CT-01 through CT-04 will be interconnected with Cooling Towers CT-05 and CT-06. Condenser water suction and discharge branch piping will allow any condenser water pump to operate with any chiller or cooling tower cell. The project will provide variable frequency drives and reduced voltage solid-state motor starters for new equipment. Two motor control centers will be installed to new and existing plant loads. The existing Honeywell control system will be extended to remotely monitor and control Chillers CH-04 and CH-05, Cooling Towers CT-01 through CT-04, and Condenser Water Pumps CSP-01 through CSP-04.
