Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. A. CHASSIS (Customer Supplied) The new chassis will be supplied by FDOT and will consist of a current model year Ford Transit Wagon T-350 with low roof option or Ford F250 crew cab. The Vendor will be responsible for all vehicle modification and equipment add-ons as listed below if customer supplied vehicle is not equipped already: 1. Inverter with sufficient power output, and battery (or batteries) with sufficient capacity to maintain the full electrical system load demand, without any additional charging input, when the vehicle is in idle speed (either parked or in heavy traffic) for at least 30 minutes. 2. The Vendor will ensure that any modification(s) to the vehicle still meets the vehicle manufacturer’s Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), while maintaining or improving specialized vehicle handling and stability. 3. The profiler front test bumper will be painted with a powder-coat application and able to withstand abuse from weather and roadway conditions for the life of the equipment. Bumper replacement is needed for Line laser upgrade. 4. The Vendor will provide a layout of test equipment for FDOT approval prior to installation of equipment. 5. Installation of Dash Display for drive. 6. One air pressure gauge which can be calibrated for monitoring tire air pressure. 7. Two (2) 120AC interior outlets, one in front and one in back. 8. 12-volt power outlet accessible to driver 9. An amber warning light bar will be provided by FDOT and will be installed on the test vehicle by the Vendor. 10. Interior mounting and hardware for equipment 11. Single interior 20u Rack for component housing 12. All systems will be able to be managed from the driver’s seat. 13. Window tinting will be provided and installed in Gainesville FL by FDOT approved installer; B. MOBILE DATA RECORDER (Drive™) / PROFILER The Drive™ system will include the computer, input/output peripheral devices, data storage and transfer devices. The system will be user friendly and capable of acquiring, storing, and synchronizing sensor output, without any unplanned interruption. The system will have the following minimum required requirements: 1. The Vendor will install two 4 KHz line lasers, and one 32 KHz spot laser and two 5G accelerometers in the front bumper. 2. As part of the ESP upgrade, two additional 4 KHz line lasers and IMUs will be installed. 3. The Vendor will install a new iXblue Atlans A7, which includes setup of lever arms and calibration with laser-based profiler. 4. Drive™ Operating System: Windows based, capable of collecting and storing data, with all sensor data options active, without interruption or system lockup/overrun error(s). Windows 7 or newer will be supplied. 5. Event Board 6. Data Display: 17” touchscreen display panel allowing operators to view any data output with minimum disruption during day and nighttime operations. 7. The latest version of Microsoft Office will be preinstalled with all system disks for reinstallation included. The system computer will provide a set of system functions selected by the operator from the main menu. These functions will provide everything necessary for the operator to perform data collection in a user-friendly manner. It will not be necessary for the operator to use operating system commands directly to perform any of the required functions except for formatting and copying files.
