This open space will be filled with lightweight backfill material to allow for an alternate shoulder build up. This space shall be wide enough for KYTC to install guardrail. Ensure the repaired area receives a high-tension surface mesh surface treatment attached to the soil nails using galvanized steel plates and nuts.
