C.1. Repair, Replacement And Rebuild Parts A. Hydraulic cylinders and valves currently utilized in City vehicles vary in sizes and manufacturer type. All units that need repair or replacement shall be bench tested in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. B. All hydraulic cylinders and valves provided by the Contractor will be inspected by the City's Fleet Services Superintendent or Fleet Services Technicians upon receipt by the City. Any valves determined to be unsuitable for service in City vehicles, will be returned to the Contractor, at no cost to the City. C. This solicitation shall include other parts that may be associated with the rebuilds if approved by the Fleet Services representative. However, all parts or equipment furnished must be equal to or exceed that of the original equipment manufacturer in material, performance, and warranty. D. The Contractor shall maintain a sufficient supply of maintenance and repair parts to maintain all the City’s vehicles. The Contractor will guarantee that the stock of replacement parts specified in this Contract is available locally. If special handling and/or freight are required, the Contractor will assume all charges. E. All replacement/repair parts and labor shall be guaranteed for a minimum of ninety (90) days; if additional warranty time is offered by the manufacturer or rebuilder, that greater warranty time frame shall prevail and be extended to the City of Tucson. F. Following the expiration of any express or implied warranty applicable to those items, goods, or equipment furnished to the City under this Contract, the Contractor agrees to supply the City (as well as its agents, representatives, Contractors, and hires) with in-stock repair and replacement parts carrying a full manufacturer’s warranty at a cost that shall not exceed the cost it would charge if it were contracted to service or install those repair and replacement parts. G. Bench Testing Specifications 1. Parker V20 valves ▪ Arm valve Main Pressure Relief Pressure: 2800 psi (± 50 psi) ▪ Arm valve torque specs • Tie bolts: 42 ft lbs • End caps: 8 - 10 ft lbs (CAUTION: reduce torque if necessary) 2. Parker V35 valves ▪ Body valve pressure settings • Main Relief Pressure: 3000 psi (± 50 psi) • Pilot Pressure Buildup setting: 550 psi (± 25 psi) C.2. Contractor Services A. Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, tools, supplies, parts, materials, equipment, transportation (including pickup and return) and labor necessary to perform repairs, rebuilds, and replacements noted herein, in accordance with all the terms, conditions provisions, and specifications contained in this Contract and manufacturer’s recommended service. B. Services shall include all labor, transportation (including pickup and return), supplies, materials, parts, tools, machinery, employee safety equipment, supervision, and all other work and materials expressly required under this Contract or reasonably inferred whether or not expressly stated herein. C. Common new, repairs, parts, and rebuilds shall be available locally or able to be delivered in one (1) week; extensions beyond this time frame shall be approved by the respective public works representative. 1. Repair parts shall be new, suitable for their intended uses, and obtained from or recommended by the original equipment manufacturer. Equivalent or remanufactured parts may be used if written/electronically approved by the City of Tucson Fleet Services. D. Contractor shall provide the following Records and Reports: 1. Scheduled repairs, replacements, or rebuilds. 2. An accurate and complete record of all work performed, including the following: a. The date and time work has begun. b. Description of the repair performed, and specific action taken. c. Date and time work is completed. d. Work Order Number.
