Little Mountain Service Area provides wastewater services to the westernmost region of West Weber, operating a three-cell aerated sewer lagoon system. The system requires upgrades to continue meeting discharge permit requirements. Proposed lagoon upgrades are anticipated to meet discharge limits for the next five years before a major system expansion becomes necessary. LMSA has identified the following potential upgrades for the project: new mechanical aeration, flow meters, chemical dosing, replacement of existing UV disinfection, and other miscellaneous facility improvements. The timeline for project completion is critical as LMSA has secured ARPA grant funding to finance this project. The project will follow a Design-Bid-Build process, requiring a collaborative approach through design, bidding, and construction phases. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering an end-to-end solution, including construction administration and project management through the final build-out of the lagoon rehabilitation.
