The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office needs to procure new Kenwood NX5300 portable radios, along with compatible lapel microphones, standard length antennas, genuine batteries, and chargers, and Kenwood NX5800 mobile radios to integrate with existing legacy radio infrastructure. Our goal is to acquire approximately 170 portable radios that are compatible with existing analog channels, as well as genuine Kenwood microphones, antennas, batteries, and home chargers. Additionally, we aim to have the following additional work completed; reprogram and test all facility repeaters to accommodate the new digital protocol. These repeater models are Kenwood NXR810. The project also requires (4) “monitor” radios to be installed and interfaced with the logging recorder to archive radio traffic from all facility repeater channels. There is an existing wall mount rack with 4 radios with an operational power supply and interface cabling attached to a 66-block that goes to a recording server, Furthermore, we need an additional 24 mobile radios, including the required power wiring for installation. NO installation of these mobile units will be required. All products must be new and covered by a full factory warranty. Warranty must be at least 3 years on the radios and 1 year on accessories.
