The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR), in partnership with Bureau of Land Management – Color Country District (BLM-CC) and the Watershed Restoration Initiative (WRI), is acquiring services in this solicitation to provide a National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Section 106 review of the entire Area of Potential Effect (APE) for the Deer Springs Project (WRI 7310). This task order includes the Contractor to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to complete such a review per state and federal requirements and guidance. The review will include multiple facets, including background research of the full APE (10,194.6 acres) plus a one-half mile buffer. It will also include a pedestrian intensive-level archaeological survey of all areas within the APE and associated reporting in accordance with BLM and Utah SHPO requirements. The Section 106 review of the full project area and associated archaeological survey will support cultural resource compliance efforts for the BLM-CC.
