The Department is contracting for this position to assist in or conduct market conduct examinations and/or analysis of insurance companies or other entities/persons regulated by this agency and authorized to transact the business of insurance in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Examiner duties shall include the examination of the affairs, transactions, business, accounts, records, documents, and files of insurers or other entities/persons regulated by the Department and authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The examinations shall be conducted in accordance with the standards and guidelines established by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the Department. Analyst duties shall include the following: • Request data and other information from entities/persons subject to examination or investigation based in part on the standardized data requests established by the NAIC. • Gather electronic information and data from the entities/persons subject to examination or investigation. • Communicate with the entities/persons subject to examination or investigation to verify that the data to be submitted is properly formatted and in accordance with the standardized data requests. • Use Audit Command Language (ACL) software, and/or other designated Department resources, to convert data into a format conducive to analysis.
