1. Demolition: a. General Construction: 1) Sitework: Minor grading for new structural concrete support pad for fluid cooler unit and associated pipe supports, removal of turf areas disturbed by construction activities, miscellaneous surface features, and related construction items. 2) Core drilling of existing insulated precast concrete wall panels for new pipe and conduit penetrations. b. Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing: Minor modifications of existing plant hydronic piping, pipe insulation, associated mechanical and electrical work, and miscellaneous associated general construction items. Existing plant operations are to remain operational during construction with exception of scheduled shutdowns. 2. New Construction: a. General Construction: 1) Sitework: Construction and removal of temporary rock surface access drive to project area for contractor access. Preparation of site including excavation and backfill for reinforced concrete support base pad for new fluid cooler equipment and pipe support bases, and miscellaneous sitework including reseeding of turf areas disturbed by construction, and landscape rock surfacing. 2) General Construction: Miscellaneous general construction including core-drilling existing insulated precast concrete wall panels for openings for hydronic piping and electrical conduit, concrete pipe support bases and associated equipment including general painting of pipe and pipe covering and miscellaneous ferrous steel construction. 3) Mechanical: Furnishing and installing new hydronic pipe and pipe fittings, piping specialties, pipe insulation and covering, valves, valve actuators, flow meters, hydronic pump, and associated pipe supports. Installation of Owner-Furnished-Equipment (OFE) consisting of drycooler (fluid cooler), and plate/frame heat exchanger. OFE is on site or will be delivered to plant site; contractor will be required to place equipment in final setting shown on drawings. Note - All rigging shall be performed by certified riggers. 4) Plumbing: Minor general plumbing work. 5) Electrical and Controls: Furnishing and installing new electrical power wiring and raceways, control wiring, motor controllers, power and control connections to Owner-Furnished-Equipment (OFE) consisting of air-cooled fluid cooler (drycooler) unit, and miscellaneous associated power and control connections to equipment. 3.
