a. The Contractor’s personnel assigned to perform the entire scope of work for this inspection at one equipment (one location) shall be called a crew. 1. Crew Size: Each crew shall not be less than two (2) persons. 2. Minimum Crew & Individual Experience: Each crew shall include at least one journeyman electrician licensed in the State of Nebraska. Other crew members shall, at a minimum, be registered electrical apprentices in the state of Nebraska. Each of the Contractor’s personnel shall be qualified electrical workers with a minimum of eight weeks relevant experience inspecting and/or accessing energized 7.2/12.47Y kV pad-mounted distribution electric equipment prior to inspection start. 3. Prior to commencing work, the Contractor shall furnish LES with a written report on the inspectors’ background including details of relevant experience. LES reserves the right to request additional information from bidders to satisfy itself that the Contractor has the ability, capacity, and skill to perform the contract within the contract requirements. b. The Contractor’s personnel assigned to perform Infrared Inspection of equipment shall be a minimum Level 1 Certified Thermography Inspector with a minimum of thirty-two (32) hours of training that adheres to the standards provided by the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT), specifically, ASNT SNT-TC-1A & ASNT CP-105. The total training hours may include both training from an accredited institution and on-the-job training that adheres to the above standards. The Contractor shall provide proof of certification, compliant training, and experience of personnel assigned to perform Infrared Inspection.
