Arkansas PBS seeks a qualified vendor to deliver up-to-date, asynchronous, self-paced computer science, technology, and other specialized online training courses to K-12 educators. Arkansas PBS develops Arkansas-specific content for educators as required by state law and would like to offer additional computer science, technology, and other specialized online training courses (hereinafter referred to as “Courses”) as professional development (PD) hours for educators as well. In lieu of developing these Courses in-house, Arkansas PBS has determined that outsourcing content for the Courses is most beneficial for the State. Arkansas PBS requires that Course content be provided so that it may be integrated into the Arkansas PBS ArkansasIDEAS learning management system (LMS) as part of a developed course which may include Arkansas-specific assessments, certification, and tracking. In addition to the required PD for educators Arkansas PBS will, in partnership with the vendor, offer optional Courses to help educators keep up with current trends in technology, including in areas such as e-learning, blended learning, teaching online, desktop and office publishing/productivity suites, internet safety, privacy and security trends as related to student and data safety, large language model A.I. programs, and more.
