Market Compensation Analysis A. The firm/consultant must conduct an internal comprehensive job evaluation and external comparison for select professional support staff positions. B. The firm/consultant will include a comparison and analysis of salaries and wages of like or similar select professional support staff and administrative positions of comparable public-school districts with similar positional or organizational characteristics. C. The firm/consultant will include competitive reference points, including, but not limited to those indicated below. 1. Brevard County Public Schools, Florida 2. Orange County Public Schools, Florida 3. Pasco County Public Schools, Florida 4. Polk County Public Schools, Florida 5. Seminole County Public Schools, Florida 6. Volusia County Public Schools, Florida Compensation Analysis A. The firm/consultant will evaluate existing compensation structure for select professional support staff positions and provide change recommendations as appropriate. 1. Analysis of current salary practices, including placement, position longevity, etc. 2. Review and evaluate current classification and pay structure and position placement within salary/wage ranges. 3. Conduct a compressional analysis and examine the equity of pay among the present select professional support staff classification of employees based upon qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and longevity. The firm/consultant will identify any outliers and other recommendations for correction if appropriate. 4. Provide recommendations on pay delivery processes related to steps and longevity, base wage increases, and maximum/minimum wage increases. 5. Identify compression areas and recommend resolution strategies. 6. Provide recommendations for compensation structures/rules to maintain market competitiveness and prevent future compression. Position Analysis A. Conduct a review between the job title and responsibilities of select professional support staff positions and provide a recommendation for standardization of minimum job requirements across all like departments and divisions. B. Provide recommendations relative to the educational background of the employee by position (required or preferred) of select professional support staff positions.
