The work consists of partial depth reconstruction of the existing triple tennis court located on the Gerald E. Talbot Elementary School campus at 1600 Forest Avenue, including but not limited to the following: removal and replacement of chain link fencing / post(s) as required for construction access; the removal of the existing pavement on the tennis courts and adjacent paths; removal and disposal of existing center tie down anchors and concrete footers; removal and disposal of existing net posts and concrete footers; supplementation and preparation of the aggregate base; replacement of underdrain system; installation of new court surface of hot mix asphalt pavement; temporary lining of courts; surface preparation and application of sports coatings; provision and installation of net posts, net anchors, and divider and court nets; and paving of adjacent asphalt paths. Also, in the base bid is the court surfacing for the existing basketball courts at Talbot School and repair and surfacing of the existing basketball court at Lyman Moore Middle School. The project requires construction signage, temporary barriers, and installation of erosion and sedimentation control BMP’s as well as the application of loam, seed, and mulch of areas disturbed by construction.
