The purpose for this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to solicit bids for a planning, study, and design documents for and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning upgrade at Fort Trumbull in New London, Connecticut. Fort Trumbull is a state park with buildings on the national register of historic places that has been open to the public as a state park owned by DEEP since 2000. There are exhibit spaces within the Fort which are currently not able to be accessed by the public due to mold. Other buildings on the site have storage, office space, and exhibits which are open to staff or the public, and are in need of an overhaul to provide a more comfortable and sustainable environment. Some smaller projects have been undertaken to bring the buildings equipment to functional levels, but a broader more unified approach is desired in order to maintain the historic features and increase the quality of the environment for the visiting public.
