1. Meters/Meter Manufacturer Specifications: a. Meet American Water Works Association (AWWA) accuracy standards b. Be capable of measuring volume in cubic feet c. Meet or exceed the standards for the type of meters proposed per AWWA publications d. Meter Manufacturer must be certified, or in the process of being certified, as meeting ISO 9001 2000 standards 2. Electronic Register Specifications: a. Battery life must be warranted in full for 10 years b. All registers must be Automatic Meter Reading (AMR or drive-by) compatible c. All registers must read volume in cubic feet and flow rate in gallons per minute (gpm) d. All registers must have a data log interval between 5 and 60 minutes e. A small log interval (i.e., 5 minutes) is preferred to better capture peak flow information and provide better leak detection resolution f. All registers must have leak detection, high usage, zero usage, and backflow detection functions g. All registers must be able to be read manually 3. Software Specifications: a. Software must be hosted on a web-based network platform accessible by multiple parties with user-assigned credentials b. Software must have a customer interface available c. Software must have customizable features (ex: individual daily limits) d. Software must have extensive reporting capabilities e. Software must have extensive search capabilities f. Software must accommodate multiple years of storage g. Software must have configurable dashboard h. Software must have meter location identification capabilities
