Gym Addition and Renovation on Active Campus the referendum stated the following: “Constructing and equipping additional space at the Riverview Charter School including a new gymnasium.” The current school is a one story, 91,000 sf, K-8 school with student capacity for 760. A middle school competition gym of approximately 12,500 sf, shall be built adjacent to the existing gym. It shall include 4 resource size classrooms on an adjacent hall. The existing gym of approximately 6,400 sf, should be renovated into a small theater and related arts classrooms School staff, and Beaufort County citizens to develop the program for this school. The work for this project shall begin immediately following the award announcement. Community participation in the programing stage is of upmost importance.
