The Maine Judicial Branch intends to renovate and expand the existing District Court building at 47 Court Street in Skowhegan to contain 4 courtrooms (2 jury, 2 non-jury) acting as the consolidated Superior and District courthouse in Somerset County. Adjacent property at 55 Court Street in Skowhegan (map 29, lot 28) has been acquired for this project to proceed. Construction could begin as early as design and permitting are completed, anticipated to be on or about July 2025. The scope of services for this project includes, but may not be limited to, schedule and cost estimating, preliminary design, design development, contract documents, and administration of bidding and construction. The AE Consultant may be required to coordinate this work or additional work with other consultants contracted by the Owner.
