The Hugh M. Gillis Medical Building expansion will house new space for both the ASN Bridge and Traditional Programs and Practical Nursing Program, to include a Patient Simulation Center and Biology Lab. Expansion of the existing classroom and lab space will allow the college to accept an additional 140 students in the PN, ASN Bridge, and ASN Traditional Programs combined. It will create office space, classroom, and lab space for additional instructors, thereby allowing classes to run concurrently and more frequently while reducing the number of students on the waiting list. More graduates that are qualified will allow the college to keep up with the demand for trained and licensed healthcare workers. Project Delivery Method: The delivery method for this Project will be Design-Bid-Build (DBB), and, at a minimum, will employ the services of a Design Professional and a Commissioning Agent, in addition to the services of a GC.
