The Southern Mississippi and Planning Development District (SMPDD), as the fiscal agent for the Twin Districts Workforce Development Area (TDWDA), is seeking to procure a fully turn-key comprehensive digital platform with a capacity of 15 participants at a time for each facility within the Pathway Home to Southern Mississippi program. The platform must include all necessary equipment, security features, and functionality to monitor and track training outcomes and will be deployed in five (5) regional correctional facilities. The purpose of this RFP is to provide secure, effective, and expansive educational opportunities for incarcerated learners, and a fully turn-key comprehensive digital platform with a capacity of up to 15 participants at a time within each facility. The platform will be deployed in a correctional facility environment and must include all necessary equipment, security features, and functionality to monitor and track training outcomes. The end goal should be an out-of-the-box, easy-to-implement system focusing on usability, security, and measurable outcomes. he entity that is awarded a contract through this Request for Proposals will be responsible for: Accommodating up to 75 users simultaneously across all facilities. Providing necessary equipment and hardware with the following specifications: Chrome Books (or equivalent) with a minimum 11.6-inch display. 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability. Durability features for high-traffic use. Network Infrastructure Wi-Fi routers that can support up to 15 devices simultaneously with strong security encryption. Backup power solutions (e.g., UPS units) to prevent data loss in case of power interruptions. Training Room Setup: User-friendly interactive display or monitor for instructor use. Digital projector or large-screen monitor. Integrated audio-visual system for video tutorials and presentations. Digital Platform Specifications User Interface: Simple, intuitive interface that allows participants to navigate and access training modules easily. Ability to personalize learning paths based on user needs and progress. Multi-level integration that combines different programs and content into a seamless experience. Security Features: Robust security to ensure compliance with correctional facility requirements (secure login, two-factor authentication, user activity logging).
