V.B System Requirements The system requirements for the desired leak detection program are as follows: • Use of a hydrophone for acoustic sensing. • Requires the hydrophone measure acoustics directly in the water column. • Use of artificial intelligence to determine leak detection and leak localization. • Ability to detect leaks in PVC (or any pipe type including mixed pipe networks) at distances of 4,000 feet. • Minimum spacing of the devices must be 2,000 feet and isolate the leak down to 10-20 feet at this spacing. • System must be capable of detecting pre-existing leaks. • System must operate out-of-the-box and NOT require additional data from the client to start-up the system (i.e. GIS data, pipe type, pipe diameter) • Transient capture and analysis should be measured at 100 samples/second (100H).
