D. SUMMARY 1. This contract provides snow removal and ice control in the public parking areas, airport personnel lots, rental car lot, sidewalks, and entrances. See the attached Snow Removal Plan. 2. The secured runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas are not included. 3. The successful vendor shall provide two employees contact phone numbers to airport management. The vendor and/or their employees shall be available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, for the duration of the contract. 4. The successful vendor shall keep the designated areas within this proposal in a clean, clear, and safe condition for pedestrians and vehicles during all applicable weather events. When an accumulation of at least two inches is predicted, the successful vendor may stage their equipment in a designated area at the Airport. 5. Rock salt shall NOT be used to control ice on concrete surfaces. Salt is approved for use on asphalt. A calcium product shall be used on concrete. 6. Salting and/or calcium product treatment shall be required in the event of an ice storm. 7. The successful vendor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials required for each event. 8. Sidewalks and entrances shall be cleared by shoveling and/or snow blower. Snow shall not be piled in or around the drop off area and/or the building entrances. See the attached diagrams. 9. Airport tenants shall have the option to “piggyback” on this contract. 10. The public parking lot provides long term parking. Therefore, the parking lot may be populated with vehicles during these events. The successful vendor shall take all necessary precautions to prevent damage to these vehicles. Any property damage incurred shall be the responsibility of the successful vendor. The vendor shall insure plowed snow berms do not block vehicles in their parking spaces.
