The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Windows and Framing Replacement Services. Bids must address all of the services described in Exhibit A entitled, “Scope of Work” that is included in the Proposed Agreement Forms/Exhibits section of this IFB. Exhibit A contains a detailed description of the services and work to be performed as a result of this IFB including those terms in the referenced exhibits. A. Remove and replace windows on building with new energy efficient doublepane window units (window and frame are one unit). Sizing to accommodate re-use of the existing building window openings. Windows will be specified at bid walk. B. During the project if needed, temporally board up windows, with ¾” Plywood and 2x4 lumber bolted through window opening. C. At the discretion of the CHP all new window framing may be required to be painted to match existing building trim color. D. During the demolition stage, if additional damage or wood deterioration is noted, contractor will contact Facilities Analyst to determine next steps. E. Properly dispose of any debris, packing and equipment as per County regulations, and ensure that area is always clean and in a safe condition. F. Provide manufacturer’s product warranty at completion of project as well as a one (1)-year Workmanship warranty.
