The proposed work includes removing the existing low water crossing along Boyce Lane and replacing with a new bridge. The existing concrete low water crossing is located at Plattin Creek at the confluence with Hocum Hollow. Three culverts distributed along the structure are in critical condition and the existing crossing is inefficient in moderate rain events. Ultimately, possessing a safety hazard to the public. The new bridge location will require change to the horizontal alignment and will be located approximately 35’ south of the existing crossing. In addition to the new bridge, concrete barriers with openings will be incorporated to allow water through in the case of moderate rain events. Bank stabilization will be placed to prevent future erosion.
