This will be a fully turnkey operation, with the City of Arkansas City supplying all the necessary materials for hole repairs and traffic management. Additionally, the city will designate a location for all spoils, and extra bricks will be provided if required. a. Clean up and preparation of the hole which includes but is not limited to: i. Saw cut edges of the hole. ii. Removal of broken curb and gutter. iii. Removal of necessary bricks. iv. Removal of spoils. b. Complete base repair including but not limited to: i. Sand bed exposed pipe. ii. Install and compaction of 24” crushed rock (AB-3). iii. Install steel rebar on two-foot centers iv. Install minimum 6” of concrete to match depth of adjacent concrete thickness as base for brick c. Complete brick laying: i. Install minimum of 1” sand bedding ii. Replace bricks to street surface and grout in with cement and sand mixture d. Finish concrete and Curb and Gutter Finish: i. Install steel rebar on two-foot centers ii. Install minimum 6” of finished concrete to match depth of adjacent concrete thickness iii. Curb and Gutter to be poured with rebar reinforced concrete to match adjacent concrete e. Clean up of site.
