Contractor shall respond to request from the Department of Public Health to remove 40 cubic yard trash container and replace with empty container within 24 hours of notification or the next working day if call is received on a Friday or the following day is a State Observed Holiday. The intent is to have two 40-yard containers onsite at all times, when one is removed it is replaced as the full container is removed Container will be accessible between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of State Holidays or any inclement weather/emergency closure. Disposal will be made approximately once per day. Disposal: ▪ It is estimated that approximately 171.5 tons will be disposed of and may be more or less throughout the term of the contract. Items for disposal include, but are not limited to Test Kits, PPE, clinical supplies but no medical waste or biohazardous material. ▪ Garbage and or spills by collectors shall be swept up and removed during the current pick-up. ▪ All refuse and trash shall be removed and disposed of away from the agency. Disposal shall be carried out in accordance with rules and regulations of the the State of South Carolina. ▪ Should a pick-up be missed by the contractor, for whatever reason, a credit in accordance with the bid price shall be applied to the monthly invoice. Additional pickups at the agency’s request will also be at the specific bid.
