Clark College seeks proposals from search/placement firms with extensive experience in placing successful temporary executive level positions, with a proven ability to recruit highly qualified, diverse, and industry respected candidates. Higher Education placement experience preferred. The firm, if selected, will perform some or all of the following services: • Meet with the President to gain an understanding of the institution’s history and culture, structure and operations, and strategic direction. • Identify key opportunities and challenges that the institution faces, and the type of leadership needed to fill the position on an interim basis. • Evaluate the competitive strengths and weaknesses of the national market for the position opening. • Develop written information about the position and the institution, including a position specification document that identifies the basic responsibilities, reporting relationships, desirable experience and professional characteristics required of candidates. • Create a pool of potential candidates for interim appointment for the college’s consideration. • Assist with the screening and vetting of candidates for consideration. • Identify and mitigate any unconscious biases within the college, or firm, related to the search, recruitment, and hiring process. • Conduct any offer contingent reference, background, and other pre-employment checks.
