The work generally consists of: Installation of an Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed, non-contact ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system at the City’s wastewater treatment facility. Other tasks directly related to the installation and integration of the new UV system include, but are not limited to: site work; retaining wall construction; concrete foundation and on-site building construction; demolition of existing concrete structures; installation of an 8’ diameter discharge structure manhole; water service connection and installation; mechanical, electrical (including 480V), and plumbing installation; gravity pipe installation; design, procurement, installation, and integration of a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system to include local and remote monitoring of the UV equipment and additional inputs; procurement, installation, and integration of an ultrasonic algae control system for treating the third cell of the City’s wastewater lagoon; and additional activities as required for a complete installation.
