The Town of Atkinson, New Hampshire is seeking qualified contractors to Shim and Overlay the following roads: Sawyer Ave (Start @ Rt 121- Stopping @ N Broadway 1.5 miles) Meadow Ln, Highland Rd, Scottsdale Rd, Sleepy Hollow Rd, Forest Rd, Juniper Ln, Brendan Rd. Placement of tack emulsion meeting the State of New Hampshire Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, applied at the rate of 1/20th gallon per square yard. Estimated tonnage of 5,100. Pavers used for all machine method work shall have a minimum weight of 28,000 lbs. (Highway Type) and a minimum 8 ft wheelbase, unless otherwise approved by the DPW Director. All Courses shall be spread and finished to the required thickness by approved, self-contained, self-propelled spreading and finishing machines (pavers). Pavers shall be provided with an adjustable, activated screed and shall be capable of spreading the mixtures with a finish that is smooth, true to the required cross-section, uniform in density and texture, and free from hollows, tears, gouges, corrugations, and other irregularities. Broadcasting behind the paver shall be held to a minimum. Pavers shall be capable of spreading and finishing courses of the required thickness and lane widths.
