Portage County requires a qualified Consultant who shall prepare a draft zoning and subdivision ordinance that is based on the project goals, Advisory Committee input and public involvement. This should include: 1.3.1.1. Compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, federal and state case laws, best practices in other communities, and innovative zoning and land use practices to accommodate a diversely developing County. 1.3.1.2. Analysis of the existing zoning ordinance in terms of major concepts being carried forward and how existing zoning districts or standards might compare to newly proposed districts or standards. 1.3.1.3. Draft amendments integrating and cross-referencing with applicable land use related ordinances within 7.1 through 7.11. See list of Ordinances with links in Attachment F. 1.3.1.4. Draft amendments to the County’s and Town’s Comprehensive Plan to meet consistency requirements. See list of Comprehensive Plan with links in Attachment G. 1.3.1.5. Draft zoning and future land use map amendments based on new zoning districts and consistent with Town Comprehensive Plans.
