This artistic opportunity is to enhance the visual impact of the half-million-gallon reservoir tank and screen the appurtenances to be located on the tank. The reservoir tank will be approximately sixty-six (66) feet in diameter and twenty-five (25) feet in height. The public art should reduce the visual impact of the overflow piping appurtenances while not adding “bulk”. The intentional use of public art should focus viewers on the art rather than the infrastructure itself. The public art will likely be fabricated from perforated metal panels or other elements. Lighting enhancements may also be part of this opportunity depending upon feasibility. No renderings or concepts are required at this time. Resulting artwork shall not restrict the City’s ability to access and maintain the reservoir, reservoir appurtenances, or underground infrastructure, and shall not place structural loads on the tank or buried infrastructure.
