Project should not start until new water system softener is completed and fully operational 1.2 Shut off both electrical power from the panel, gas valves and disconnect from boilers 1.3 Shut off pipe valves to both the supply and return plumbing connected to the water heaters. 1.4 Drain and flush hot water storage tank 1.5 Drain and flush all water in pipe system 1.6 Inspect copper pipe system for proper grounding of all the systems pipe. 1.7 Replace any corroded copper pipe with same type. 1.8 Check water system for any visible scale before making connections to new hot water boilers 1.9 Test water for normal operating PH levels per manufacturer installed equipment. if level is not in normal range check softener system for proper operation. Notify TDCJ staff maintenance of the issue. DO NOT start up new equipment until PH level is in the correct operating range. 1.10 Demo old water heaters and dispose of them. 1.11 Deliver 2-1000 KBTU hot water boilers and associated pumps and material to complete upgrade and repair hot water boiler system. 1.12 Install new 2-1000 KBTU hot water boilers 1.13 Re-insulate any damaged or exposed pipe in work area 1.14 Make gas and water connections to boilers and reconnect electrical power 1.15 Check work area for any leaks, if found make repairs 1.16 Inspect copper pipe system for proper grounding of all the systems pipe...
