1. The equipment and system shall be installed in accordance with all approved building, plumbing, electrical, health codes, and function as specified. Installations should pass code inspection at each phase. 2. The installer/worker must be licensed in the field of work that is being performed. 3. All work is to be done by trained, experienced individuals. Workmanship shall be so-as-to require a minimum of repairs and patching after installation. 4. Contractor will furnish a set plan, upon request, in a timely manner to allow time to complete the work. 5. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to determine the size or tonnage being installed for proper operation. 6. Systems shall be installed using new materials of the grade and quality required to meet or exceed local or state and ASHRAE standards. The type and manufacturer of the heating and cooling system shall be approved by UKSM-Wichita and cannot be changed without the written approval of the UKSM Director of Facilities Management. Approval must be received in writing. 7. Should the requirements for HVAC systems change because of any change in the applicable codes, the Contractor must notify UKSM-Wichita Facilities Director or his designee immediately and all work must stop until the plans can be reviewed and approved. 8. No roof, wall or floor may be core drilled, pierced, or otherwise damaged in any manner without approval of UKSM-Wichita Facilities Director or his designee. 9. HVAC and plumbing installations and repairs must be a complete functioning system, tested, ready for operation and cleaned up before workers can be removed from the job. 10. The heating and cooling systems should operate correctly for a minimum of one (1) year of Warranty coverage, and/or the length of the Manufacturer’s Warranty (whichever is longer) except for those items caused by owner negligence.
