The City of Valdez, Alaska is requesting proposals from qualified planning firms with demonstrated experience developing and amending plating ordinances in order to conduct a full revision of the City of Valdez Title 16 Subdivisions code. The City seeks to bring our subdivision code into conformance with Plan Valdez - the 2021 comprehensive plan and the 2024 revised zoning code (VMC Title 17). The City of Valdez requires assistance drafting the ordinances to update the subdivision regulations and to make the code easier to interpret and administer. Valdez is seeking a firm with recent experience with various types of subdivision codes, and other plating regulations in other Alaska communities, and expertise in community outreach. The selected respondent must be fully insurable to City of Valdez established levels of coverage, name the City of Valdez as an additional insured, and keep in effect all required coverages during the term of the procured study
