1.2 Project Description (the “Work”) Scope of the Work includes renovation of approximately 750 sf of existing lab space required to provide two labs and modification of shared utility spaces needed to support installation of 2 ThermoFisher cryo enabled electron microscopes. Work includes upgrades to existing mechanical and distribution systems outside of the rooms being renovated. Additional Project details: 1. ThermoFisher microscopes and associated equipment to be furnished and installed by equipment vendor. 2. Adjacent lab space in room 1-214, which will share use of the existing pump room with new spaces, is intended to be used continuously for duration of Project. Work will need to be considerate of minimizing impacts and outages for these users. 3. Project workplan should outline approach for work within hall corridor on occupied floor. 4. Final permit signoff will be delayed until instruments are installed and operational and space has been recommissioned. Leo.
