: the removal of the existing roofing system (including insulation) down to the existing 3-inch steel deck; installation of SBS-modified vapor barrier set in coldply adhesive over new mechanically fastened cement board; installation of new polyisocyanurate (R-30) insulation, cover board, drainage crickets and sumps, mopped in hot asphalt; and installation of 4-ply built-up asphalt roofing membrane with SBS-modified cap sheet with bright white granular surfacing. The Work includes replacement of existing 6-inch roof drains and overflow drains with cast iron drains with stainless steel hardware. The Work also includes installation of continuous vapor barrier at the top of the exterior walls to separate the pool space from the exterior soffit space, as well as replacement of deteriorated soffit framing. The building shall remain fully occupied during roofing operations, and Contractor shall maintain access to walkways, entrances, drive lanes, etc., and provide necessary protections from roofing operations.
