The Department of Social Services requires a nonprofit organization to provide school districts’ students personnel with suicide prevention skills and awareness, training on social media harassment and bullying interventions, and mental health therapy resources in any county with more than four hundred thousand but fewer than five hundred thousand inhabitants. The Megan Meier Foundation is the only provider in St. Charles County that provides the aforementioned services. The Megan Meier Foundation provides vital programs that support struggling youth, including educational presentations, community resources, and free counseling services that have served over half a million people to date. In addition, the Megan Meier Foundation provides services tailored to mental health issues, bullying and cyberbullying, resiliency, and peer-to-peer conflict resolution.
